This Orange Marmalade Poppy Seed Cake is packed with citrus flavor and has a light, fluffy texture that is perfect anytime of the year or anytime of day (I might’ve had a slice for breakfast). An orange marmalade ribbon layers between the cake and offers an extra orange flavor. Not to mention the glaze full of orange zest.

Poppyseed and orange are two great flavor combinations. Adding a couple tablespoons of poppyseeds is enough to boost the cake flavor and give that poppyseed taste. Greek yogurt is also another ingredient in this cake that aids in the light cake texture. I also have Greek yogurt hanging around in my kitchen and it’s a great way to lighten up (literally and health wise) a cake.
This cake is a perfect way to cheer up someones day too. When my mom was in the hospital for surgery, I snuck this cake into her fridge and she ended up slicing it and putting it in her toaster for breakfast. I’ve also put a slice in the microwave for about 20 seconds and it was delicious – its so versatile!

Love marmalade. I’m guessing that the yogurt is a substitute for butter or oil, but got to ask – where are the eggs? 🙃
Eggs are in the recipe! 😊
I’ve just now read the instructions, but it’s not in the ingredients section. 🤭 so, how many eggs?
Just double checked and they’re there – 3 eggs 🥚🥚🥚
I see it now. Goodness, I must have had a mental block. I also double checked.
Ta

You can omit the poppyseeds and it will turn out just as tasty!
